The Vision
In 1998, my wife and I, supported by six other Christians, started what is now known as The Riverside Christian Trust. Our vision then (and now) is to support young people and to share the good news of Jesus Christ with them in a safe and non-threatening manner.
We started out with the “Encounters Coffee Bar” which was very successful but sadly had to close due to lack of volunteers.
Since then the trustees believe that the way forward is, (in line with the vision), still to support young people but in a financial way. We have been able to do so already with some of the money left over from the “Encounters” project. This enabled several young people to go on Christian holidays and Christian camps and have also paid for sports equipment for a youth group.
We would very much like to develop this and other ways in which we can help young people in financial need. We believe that God is leading us to develop this ministry, which will be very much in the Tewkesbury (postcode GL20) area, and we are certain that with your support we can make a difference in the lives of young people in our local vicinity. All trustees are voluntary so therefore any money donated will go directly to where the need is.
Our desire is to enable young people to be in a place where God can make a difference in their lives. Please prayerfully consider if God wants you to be involved in this exciting new and life changing project.
